Honoured Artist of the Ukrainian SSR. Member of Artists Union of Ukraine.
Born 1916 in Poltava region, lives in Kyiv. Studied at Dnipropetrovsk Art School from 1933-1938. Graduated from Kyiv Institute of Art (now – the National Academy of Art and Architecture) in 1947. Professors include K.Yeleva and O.Shovkunenko. Skilled in genre agricultural painting and the author of famous collective farms workers’ portraits. His painting “Landlords” is a typical example of social realist painting.
