This pencil sketch for the eventual gouache Ten Thousand
Cadres go to the Countryside to Promote Dazhai sketch was found among
Jin’s papers and notes from his Yan’an years (1973-1986).
The gouache series is based on actual events, demonstration and Party
activities. Among Jin’s notes from Yan’an are hundreds of
photographs of the actual events that led to sketches like this and eventually
the gouache series. |
